My short story was a finalist in the competition. Deborah Chancellor (Royal Literary Fund fellow) said "Thirdly, in the category of Best Mystery, the award goes to 'Redfleece' for the story 'Demon Wind'. I would describe this entry as the most 'serious' of the four, with an interesting balance between the comic and poignant. On the whole, this story fulfils the mysterious promise of the openingsentence, and is a satisfying read.".
